Copyright Takedown Policy

At LegalPDF.org, we are committed to respecting copyright laws and the rights of content creators. Our policy is designed to respond quickly and efficiently to copyright owners who believe their material has been used on our site without permission. We adhere to the principles outlined in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to ensure that infringing materials are promptly removed from our website.

Notice of Infringement

If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, and believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and made available on LegalPDF.org in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please notify us by sending a written communication. This notification must include:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate the material.
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address at which you may be contacted.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Notifications should be sent to: dmca@legalpdf.org. Upon receipt of a valid claim, LegalPDF.org will promptly investigate and take appropriate action, including the removal of allegedly infringing material from the website.

Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content has been mistakenly removed due to an error in claiming copyright infringement, you have the right to submit a counter-notification. This must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which LegalPDF.org may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement.

Please send counter-notifications to: dmca@legalpdf.org. Following the receipt of your counter-notification, LegalPDF.org will provide the complainant with your contact information so that you can resolve the issue directly. If the complainant does not seek a court order against the content provider, member, or user, we may, at our discretion, replace or restore access to the material that was removed.
